Star Citizen - Human Base

In the summer of 2016 I started a contract job at Cloud Imperium Games.  These were some of the first characters that I worked on.

Base Male - this is the template for all the male bodies in Star Citizen.  CIG had a previous version that I worked to improve on.  I  re-proportioned the model and re-sculpted all of the muscle anatomy.  I then re-UV'ed and created a new set of textures.  I did lookdev for the skin shader in Lumberyard.  This male is the model that all the costumes are sim'ed and fitted on in the game.  The game mesh without the head is about 10,400 tris.  The body textures are on one 4k sheet.

Base Female - template for all female characters.  Similar to the male, there was already a version that they were not satisfied with.  For this model I started from a body scan.  I re-proportioned the scan and sculpted surface anatomy and detail.  I textured and lookdev'ed shaders as well.  This female is the model that all the costumes are sim'ed and fitted on in the game.  The game mesh without the head is about 18,100 tris.  The body textures are on one 4k sheet.

These characters were done summer/fall of 2016.  Tools used:  Max, Maya, Zbrush, Handplane Baker, Mari, Lumberyard and Marmoset.
